Being in a relationship with another person can be one of the most rewarding relationships one can have, but we all know that relationships requires work. In couples therapy, I will help the couple gain some insight into what work needs to take place for the relationship to continue to be one that is satisfying for both. We will look at the couple's strengths to help increase intimacy.

When one member of the family is not balanced then the whole family is affected. In family therapy, we will help from the youngest child to the parents and anyone else in-between. Stress comes in many forms, whether it's different generation, divorce, loss of job, etc. a healthy family will work together.

As we age, our perspectives change. Our lives are evolving and we have different challenges. Sometimes challenges arise from children have left the home, loss of a spouse, physical illness, overwhelmed with managing life stressors, or emotional regulation has become difficult. Together we can find ways to cope so that you are able to enjoy your life.

Sometimes it is hard being a child. I have worked with children and their families in an educational setting for almost 25 years. I understand how their minds work and will tailor therapy so that the child in engaged.
Not one theoretical orientation is right for everyone, but one that seems to work well is a behavioral approach. It is effective in most cases because of the directness and focus on behavior modification from maladaptive to adaptive one.
Groups
Groups
Group therapy is often an augmentation to individual therapy. It is helpful in that you can develop a support system in which you are surrounded by others that have similar problems. Together, with other members of the group, I will facilitate different topic such as grief and loss, parenting, and substance use groups. Groups form when there is at least 5 members that have similar interest.
